Day Trips for Seniors, Clubs & Community Groups
Relaxed Group Outings for over-50s, Clubs and Community groups
A Good Day Out Starts with the Right Pace
A good day out is about more than reaching a destination. It is about enjoying the journey, sharing a meal and spending time with good company.
Cruisin’ With Kylie plans relaxed outings for senior groups across Melbourne, Bass Coast, South Gippsland and regional Victoria.
Your group can choose the places you would like to visit or ask Kylie to help shape the day.
Pickup points, stops and timing can all be worked out together. There is no need to follow a rushed, one-size-fits-all itinerary.
It is your day, planned around the people you are travelling with.
Your Senior Day Trip, Planned Around Your Group
There is no need to rush from one attraction to the next.
Your day might include a coastal drive, a long lunch and one special place to visit. It could also bring together several local stops, with time to enjoy each one.
Kylie helps with the transport and timing while keeping the day relaxed. You can sit back, take in the scenery and enjoy being out together.
Your Day, Your Way
Some groups arrive with a complete plan. Others simply know they would like to get out for the day.
Kylie can help arrange the outing around:
Where your passengers are coming from
Your group size
Preferred departure and return times
Places you would like to visit
Lunch, event or attraction bookings
A comfortable pace and mobility needs
Cruisin’ With Kylie welcomes groups of six or more. Quotes are based on passenger numbers, pickup locations, travel distance and the plans for your day.
Relaxed, Social and Easy-Paced
The best group outings are not always the busiest ones.
Your day might include a scenic drive, a long lunch and one special place to visit. Another group may prefer a show, garden, cruise or local event.
Kylie keeps the transport and timing organised while leaving room to slow down, take a break and enjoy the company.

Coastal and Scenic Day Trips
Bass Coast and South Gippsland are made for easy-paced days beside the water and through the countryside.
Your group could enjoy a coastal drive, a short cruise, a waterfront lunch or a scenic stop along the way. The route can be kept simple or combined with another local experience.
Ideas for the day:
San Remo and Phillip Island | Kilcunda and the George Bass Coast | Cape Paterson and Inverloch | Western Port waterfront stops | Coastal or wildlife cruises | Morning tea with a view | Scenic photo stops
Lunches, Cafés and Local Favourites
Sometimes the best reason to head out is simply to share a good meal.
Your group might visit a country hotel, coastal café, winery, club or another local favourite. The journey can include morning tea, a scenic stop or a little time to explore before heading home.
Possible outing ideas:
A country pub lunch | A waterfront café | Lunch and entertainment | A winery meal | A local market and morning tea | A mystery lunch stop | Dinner after a show or event
Gardens, Museums and Heritage Places
For a quieter day, your group may enjoy a garden, museum, historic property, gallery or place of remembrance.
These experiences can be paired with lunch, morning tea or a scenic drive through the surrounding area. Opening days, group access and walking requirements can be checked before the outing is confirmed.
Ideas may include:
Seasonal gardens | Historic homesteads | Local museums | The National Vietnam Veterans Museum | Galleries and exhibitions | Heritage towns | Art or creative workshops | Places of remembrance
Shows, Music and Community Events
Group transport can also be arranged for theatre shows, live music, festivals and community events.
Pickup and return times can be planned around the program, with suitable stops before or after the event. Everyone can enjoy the occasion without arranging several cars, finding parking or driving home after dark.
Outing ideas include:
Theatre performances | Lunch-and-show events | Live music | Festivals | Community celebrations | Country races | Markets and local shows | Seasonal events
Could Your Support at Home Funding Help You Get Out and About?
Some people may be able to use approved Support at Home funding towards transport for outings that align with their assessed needs and support plan.
Approval is not automatic. Participants should speak with their Support at Home provider or care partner before confirming an outing.
Cruisin’ With Kylie can provide service details, compliance information, a personalised quote and an itemised invoice. Funding decisions remain with the participant’s aged care provider.
It is always best to check before making the booking.
Helpful Home Care Package Information
These guides may help you understand how Home Care Package funding can work for transport and outings. Please speak with your provider or care partner about your own approved plan before making arrangements.
Build a Day Around Your Group
You do not need to arrive with a full itinerary. Tell Kylie what your group enjoys, and the day can be built from there.
A simple outing might begin with an easy pickup, include one or two local stops, and centre on an experience everyone is looking forward to.
Start Somewhere Lovely
Ease into the day with morning tea, a waterfront stop, a market, a scenic lookout or another easy first stop.
Choose the Highlight of the Day
Give everyone one main experience to look forward to.
A coastal cruise | A live show | A museum or heritage visit | A garden or art experience | A winery or local producer | A festival or community event
Make Time for Lunch
A good lunch deserves its own place in the day.
It could be a country pub, coastal café, winery, local restaurant, club or another favourite that suits the route.
Leave Room for a Little Surprise
When the timing works, there may be room for one more stop that adds local character to the day.
It might be a coastal lookout, chocolates, local shops, wine, cider, gin or one of Kylie’s mystery stops.
Featured Outings, Events and Local Connections
